Medway Test

If you'd like your child to be considered for a grammar school they will need to sit the Medway Test.

Once you register your child for the Medway Test, they will sit it and receive their results before the closing date for secondary school applications. This is to help you make an informed decision when applying for secondary schools.

Results

Results of the Medway Test will be sent out on Monday 9 October 2017.

If you registered online you will be sent an email after 4pm on this date. If you registered on paper you will be sent a letter by first class post on this date.

We can’t give out test scores over the phone.

The results will give you:

  • your child’s total score
  • a breakdown of the scores for each paper
  • a decision on whether your child is assessed as grammar or non-grammar
  • details of what you need to do next.

Remember, if your child has been assessed as suitable for grammar school, this doesn’t guarantee them a grammar school place.

If you’re unhappy with the result of the test, you can request an academic review of your child's school work.
